AMERICAN AIRLINES INTRODUCES SELF SERVICE MACHINES TO BRUSSELS AIRPORT

As part of the airline's ongoing commitment to improve its passengers' travel experiences, American Airlines has recently introduced two self service check-in machines - with a third soon to follow - for its passengers travelling through Brussels Airport.

The new machines, which went live on 16th September, are arriving in Brussels as part of an ongoing European roll-out by American to improve the number of international customer check-in options. They have already proven popular in American’s other European cities, enabling passengers to manage, amongst other things, their own check-in process, selection of preferred seating and purchase of on-the-day space-available upgrades.

Olga Jacob, General Sales Manager Benelux, American Airlines, commented: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a new check-in option to help improve their travel experience with American. Customers will of course still be able to check-in with an agent should they prefer but we expect the new self service machines to prove a great addition, particularly since they are available for use by all passengers, whether travelling in First Class, Business Class or Economy".

Separately, American has also recently announced a third daily flight from Brussels to the US with a new flight to Boston, via London Heathrow, being introduced as part of the winter schedule. The flight, which begins on 19th November, is expected to be popular by introducing a new US destination and additional late afternoon connections to the already serviced Chicago and New York JFK.
